Compare before choosing a Group Ticket: The regular ČD Group Ticket does not consider passengers’ ages. If your group includes children, students, or seniors, their individual discounted fares may be cheaper. Summer tickets valid only in July and August. It offers unlimited travel on all ČD trains for a set period.

Planning a day trip with family or friends on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday? The ČD Weekend Group Ticket can make the journey both cheaper and easier. You buy one ticket for the whole group and can take as many ČD trains as you need that day.
- Price: The nationwide version costs 999 CZK.
- ℹ️ Cheaper regional versions are available, but they cover only selected railway lines within that region.
- Who can use it: Up to five people can travel together. This can be:
- two adults and three children under 15,
- one adult and four children,
- five children.

- Which trains it covers: You can use local, fast, and long-distance trains operated by České dráhy (ČD) in 2nd class.
The important word here is ČD. A local Os or Sp train is covered if ČD operates it.
⚠️ Trains operated by RegioJet, Leo Express, Arriva, GW Train Regio, or another company are not included, even when they run on part of the same route.
For SC Pendolino and other trains with mandatory reservations, each passenger also needs a seat reservation. Metro, trams, and buses are not included unless you buy a special version combined with local public transport.

- Ages 18–25: You must have a valid ISIC card. Standard university IDs from other countries are not accepted.
- Ages 15–17 (“Juniors”): No student status needed. A passport or national ID is sufficient proof.

Private Carriers: Discounts on RegioJet and Leo Express
The 50% state discount is not limited to České dráhy. RegioJet and Leo Express also offer discounted fares for eligible children, juniors, students aged 18–25, and passengers aged 65 or older on the Czech part of a journey.
These discounts normally apply only to Economy or other 2nd-class fares. When booking, select the correct passenger category and carry the required passport, ID, or ISIC card. The proof requirements are the same as those explained above.
Can RegioJet or Leo Express Be Cheaper Than ČD?
