Public transport is the cheapest way to reach Prague city center. Two routes are especially useful for visitors:
- Trolleybus 59 + Metro Line A is the best option for Wenceslas Square, Old Town, and destinations near the green Metro A line. Trolleybus 59 runs from both airport terminals to Nádraží Veleslavín, where you change to the metro.
- Bus 100 + Metro Line B is more convenient for Anděl, Smíchov, and destinations near the yellow Metro B line. The bus terminates at Zličín Metro Station.
One 90-minute ticket covers the complete bus-and-metro journey. It costs 46 CZK in the PID Lítačka app or 50 CZK as a paper ticket. Travel to the city center usually takes approximately 35–50 minutes, depending on your destination and connection.

The Airport Express (AE) provides a direct connection from both airport terminals to Prague Main Railway Station (Hlavní nádraží). You do not need to change to the metro or another bus, and there is space for luggage.
The journey takes around 40 minutes, although road traffic can make it longer. An adult ticket costs 200 CZK, and luggage is included. Regular Prague public transport tickets are not valid on the Airport Express.

🚌 Where to Find Transportation at Prague Airport
Václav Havel Airport Prague has two main passenger terminals:
- Terminal 1 serves flights from outside the Schengen Area.
- Terminal 2 serves flights within the Schengen Area.
Trolleybus 59, Bus 100, and the Airport Express stop directly outside the arrivals areas of both terminals. Taxi and ride-hailing pickup points are also located outside the terminals, while Uber kiosks and service counters can be found inside the arrivals halls.
Both terminals are close to each other, so arriving at Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 does not change which transportation options you can use.
You may also see the airport called Prague Airport, PRG Airport, or by its former name, Prague Ruzyně Airport. All these names refer to the same airport.
